Privacy policy
Short version: we only collect what we need to run a weird little free event, we don’t sell it, and you can bail any time.
Last updated October 1, 2026.
What we collect
- Email signup: your email address.
- Volunteer and partner forms: your name, email, and anything else you choose to tell us: phone, organization, how you want to help, and your message.
- Consent record: when you sign up or confirm updates, we keep the date, the form you used and your IP address, so we can show you asked.
- Spam protection: forms use Cloudflare Turnstile, which checks your browser to tell people from bots.
- Your browser: the running guy on the homepage remembers which speech-bubble symbols he’s already shown you, in your browser’s local storage. That never leaves your device.
How we use it
- To send Rad Rando updates, but only after you click the confirm link we email you (double opt-in).
- To reply to volunteers and partners and plan the event with you.
- To keep bots and abuse off the forms.
We never sell or rent your information, and we don’t use ad trackers.
Who helps us
- Cloudflare hosts the site and runs Turnstile.
- Amazon Web Services (SES) delivers our emails.
- Our contact list lives in a privately hosted Mautic system run for us by BrandFlare Marketing.
- Course maps load tiles from OpenFreeMap.
Your choices
- Every update email has an unsubscribe link that works with one click.
- Want a copy of your info, a correction, or your info deleted? Email hello@radrando.com and we’ll handle it within 30 days.
- If you never click the confirm link, you never get updates. We keep your info only as long as we run the event, or until you ask us to delete it.
Kids
The run is family-friendly, but the forms are for adults. If you’re under 16, have a grown-up sign up.
Changes
If this policy changes, we’ll update the date above. For big changes, we’ll email the people on our list.
